    Change of the flight of not possible/delayed checkout/all is delayed

    Unavailable / Flight changes not possible despite payment

    My partner was not taken on Turkish Airlines because she could only provide a booking number for a return flight, as Trip.com was still creating the tickets.

    I tried to change the flight for over an hour between 1:00 and 2:40 a.m. and called the Turkish Airlines hotline to cancel the check-in.

    Trip.com was not reachable by phone on the German hotline at night. I only received a call at around 3:59 a.m. The chatbot couldn’t solve anything.

    However, it was not possible to change the outbound flight on Trip.com. A message came up saying that I had already checked in online. However, I had already checked out of the flight with Turkish Airlines. This was confirmed to me by two phone calls to Turkish Airlines. Despite this, I was still checked in on Trip.com and a change to the flight is not possible.
    1. Trip.com creates the tickets too slowly
    2. Trip.com does not update the check-out
    3. Trip.com is not available at night when it is important

    My partner could not fly and trip.com demanded the full price for changes when the plane took off. In the time before departure, the change attempts showed 0.26€. When paying, however, there was always the error that you were still checked in and should go to the counter to check out, only then would the change be possible.

    When the plane finally took off as scheduled at around 7:40 Thailand time, I was able to rebook for 222€. I did it reluctantly. I want my money back!

    After all, it is a mistake on Trip.com’s part.

    Update 2:40: Change failed
    Unbelievably, even for 222€ in costs caused by Trip.com, the change is not made.

    Update 3:59am: An English agent from trip.com called me and wanted to sort things out. I was curious to see if it would work.
    Update 10:41: She said on her answering machine that the rebooking would take place on Wednesday 19 June.
    Update approx. 10:45: I called back because I couldn’t see the rebooking. A German employee had everything explained to him again.
    After waiting several minutes, he took my complaint that I wanted the €222 back.
    The fact that I had tried to change the flight between 1:00 and 2:40 was ignored. It was said that it couldn’t be found in the system.

    Update: At 1:23 p.m. he called to say that my complaint had been rejected.

    Conclusion: poor support and no hotline available during the flight time

    All very unpleasant, irreplaceable vacation time lost, hotel and additional costs, parking costs…

    Trip.com Nie wieder!

    Normalerweise vergebe ich nie so reißerische ein Stern Bewertungen. Aber Trip.com schießt den Vogel ab. Ich habe einen Flug mit Zwischenstopp gebucht.     Wie man 169.000 Rubel für Tickets verliert und nirgendwohin fliegt ..
